Newbuilding surveys are carried out at the yard throughout the whole construction period to the extent found necessary by the local surveyor. This means that the survey is a control of the yard's own quality system, but no replacement for this. The main purpose for this is to verify that the vessel is being built in accordance with approved drawings.

During the survey period all reports are completed, and establish the basis for the issue of the class and statutory certificates.
