Class Drawing Approval is part of the basis for issuing a class certificate. The approval includes a thorough evaluation of all maindrawings, such as scantlings, systems and installations to such an extent that the vessel fully complies with all international mandatory requirements, Flag State requirementsa as well as the DNV Rules. One set of the final drawings (as built drawings) are kept in the central archive at DNV throughout the vessel's lifetime.
