More than 20% of all tankers are operating with DNV class.
Tanker for Chemicals
The objective of this class notation is to ensure compliance with
requirements applicable to ships with integral tanks intended to
carry liquid chemicals in bulk in accordance with IMO's
International code for the Construction and Equipment of Ships
carrying Dangerous Chemicals in Bulk (IBH Code), as applicable.
Tanker for C
The objective of this class notation is to ensure compliance with
requirements applicable to ships with integral tanks intended to
carry liquid chemicals in bulk in accordance with IMO's
International Code for the Construction and Equipment of Ships
carrying Dangerous Chemicals in Bulk (IBC Code), or Code for the
Construction and Equipment of Ships carrying Dangerous Chemicals in
Bulk (IBH Code), as applicable.
The letter "C" specifies which cargo the ship
is certified to carry.
